Welcome to my personal corner of the internet. My name is Erica. I’m a good Christian girl who loves God, pasta, movies, yoga, cinnamon, caramel, and broccoli. By day, I work with individuals with developmental disabilities. By night, I’m an author, speaker, and freelancer with a passion for helping others tell their stories.
I began writing at the age of five. Since then, I’ve written everything from poetry and advice columns to novels and non-fiction. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Central Florida (although I spent three of four years at Purdue University and consider myself to be a  Boilermaker).
I’ve taught women’s and teens Sunday school classes and presented workshops and seminars on post-secondary education, purity, dating, and mentorship. I’ve authored Altered before the Altar: Allowing God to Make You “Meet” to be Met, the Altered before the Altar Devotional Study Guide, and The Season for Getting Serious: Growing Intimacy with Christ in Any Season. I’ve also written two journals, a prayer journal and a guided journal for non-fiction writers.
Through Serious Season Publishing Services, I assist other authors with bringing their books to life. I offer book coaching, editing, formatting, and other publishing assistance to navigate the road from dream to done.

If you can’t get enough of my the sassy style in which I tell the truth in love and want to know more about my upcoming projects, subscribe to my newsletter . I promise I won’t storm into your inbox with my hand out all the time. I’m a giver who wants to give you a good laugh, something to think about, and occasionally something you might want to buy.  Have a specific question for me? Want me to talk about a topic, see a TV show or movie, or hear some new music? Want to find out more about my publishing services?Just want to sit in the sunshine of my sisterly love? Hi:

I just stumbled across this blog while doing some research about Whitney Houston. I have to just stop a sec and say to you what an excellent, insightful and intelligent writer you are!

I am a 51 year old Christian wife and mother with 2 young adult daughters of my own who enjoy writing as well. I’ll be forwarding your blog to them and others whom I think will enjoy your writing. I’ve bookmarked so I can come back to read other things you’ve written.

Blessings to you and may your wonderful gifts continue to guide you to your great destiny!

  3. Hey! I saw you on freshly pressed (congrats) and saw your bio page. I love in Florida, love yoga (I’m going into yoga teacher training in Jan. and am SO excited!). I also have a soft spot for pasta and the human condition. I must conclude that I should subscribe to your blog. Have a wonderful day!

    • Thanks! Where in Florida are you? I’m in Central Florida myself. What type of yoga will you teach? I’ve mostly done Vinyasa, but I’m looking into other forms. I’m no expert by far, but I would love to explore some more. I could wax poetic about pasta. 😀 Covered in any sauce, witho or without meat…I just love it. Thanks for subscribing to the blog. 🙂
